INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESERVE
Over the last year we have seen the delivery of critical service infrastructure that will enable the continued rollout of Pinnacle when the market demands.
A sewer pump station in Cherry Flat Road and its ancillary pipelines that service Pinnacle and surrounding estates is complete, with other sewer works to service neighbouring developments and the next stage of Pinnacle also now in place.
With the exhibition of the Ballarat Planning Scheme Amendment for the Ballarat West Development Contributions Plan in 2025 and subsequent Planning Panels Victoria hearing, discussions with the City of Ballarat to provide further drainage infrastructure for the broader catchment within the future Pinnacle parkland are now well progressed and we are hopeful that Council will be able to commence further works in the coming months. The initial drainage works will involve Council constructing the northern wetland retarding basin.
Until that basin and a further basin to its south is delivered, which both cater for a catchment beyond Pinnacle, we cannot proceed with the further construction/embellishment of the reserve, including the playground area.
The future playground will sit between those two wetlands and its construction until after those works is not possible due to practicality and safety reasons (i.e. the playground area will be within the work zone buffer area required for the wetlands).
The rollout of infrastructure and amenities in new estates needs to be done sequentially, and with the rollout of stages and unfortunately it is not possible to deliver everything in the early stages. We are however committed to delivering the playground and balance of the reserve when practicably possible, and making the Pinnacle community a welcoming and family-friendly place that residents can enjoy and be proud of.
